Unofficial Mayoral Results
While nothing is official at the time of this post (around 11:00pm on the 18th), Mix 103.7 has announced Blake as the winner in the Mayoral race (by a considerable margin if you ask me) and the winners in the Ward 1 are: Allen, Germain, Kirschner, Meagher, Scott & Thomas.
No matter the outcome, congratulations to all the candidates for showing such a strong field and for making it difficult for voters to make their choice.

But What About Voter Participation?
Reflection is needed on the voter participation – I’m looking forward to seeing the final numbers and how they stack up against the different census data for the region.

Byron Out! Byron Out !! Yipeeee !
It has been such an honour working with all the candidates on the 2010 municipal election. I am ecstatic that Melissa Blake was re-elected Mayor and believe we have a really strong team in place for Council. Despite all our efforts though, voter turn-out does not appear to be much higher than last time – which is incredibly disappointing. Lots of work to do yet!
